The idea is you do some hanging greens along their coop wall or upside down growing plant to encourage foraging, jumping in the air. I frequently throw weeds onto a mesh screen covering their run and they have to jump a bit and reach through the screen to get their greens. I know they appreciate the environmental challenge. The real trick here is to create a continuous growing medium along the wall that they can peck at as it grows without the usual destruction of floor based chicken feed or grass. Pictures to come.
